About
ERH — tucked inside La Maison du Saké on rue Tiquetonne — was relaunched under chef Ryuichi Utsumi in 2023 following Keita Kitamura's departure. Utsumi trained first in Japanese sushi before pivoting to French gastronomy, and his cuisine occupies the space where the two traditions genuinely converge: seasonal French produce (not fusion clichés) worked through Japanese restraint and precision. Menus of 5 or 7 sequences are available at lunch (€80) and dinner (€100–€150), with an optional sake pairing curated from the cellar below — one of the finest sake selections in Europe. The restaurant is surrounded by the Golden Promise bars (whisky and cocktail), offering an extended evening of Japanese beverages for those who wish to linger.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
- A rare restaurant where Franco-Japanese cuisine is driven by genuine Japanese technique, not superficial fusion.
- Sake pairing from one of Europe's deepest sake cellars elevates each course with rare Japanese rice wines.
- Lunch menus from €80 make this one of the most accessible chef's tasting menu experiences in central Paris.
- BYOB option (Tuesday–Thursday, €30/person) allows guests to bring their own bottles from the Maison du Saké selection.
Reservation essential. Dinner only Tuesday–Thursday; lunch and dinner Friday–Saturday. Gault & Millau listed. Michelin listed. The Golden Promise bars downstairs extend the evening experience.
