About
Owned by Hanabi Foods Group — 'hanabi' meaning 'fireworks' in Japanese — Akabeko brings a concept rare to Dubai: a bespoke full-service yakiniku restaurant focused exclusively on Japanese A5 wagyu and premium seasonal seafood. Executive Chef Yosuke Matsuoka oversees a nose-to-tail philosophy that honours every edible portion of the cow, from the prized cuts to the 'secondaries' rarely seen on menus. Diners select from up to 12 unique wagyu cuts — presented and grilled tableside by a skilled crew — alongside signature dishes such as the Supreme Wag-Yukke (wagyu tartare with fresh seafood) and the Akabeko Donburi topped with sliced wagyu and truffle. The interior pays homage to Japan's minimalist aesthetic with natural wood, ornate carved ceilings, and bonsai trees. Set menus begin at AED 140 for a light tasting introduction, rising to AED 390 for a seasonal 5-course journey.
