About
Opened in February 2024 at One&Only One Za'abeel's sky-bridge The Link, Sagetsu by Tetsuya immediately earned two Michelin stars in the 2024 Dubai Guide — the highest star count of any restaurant in the emirate. Chef Tetsuya Wakuda, born in Hamamatsu, Japan, built his reputation at Tetsuya's restaurant in Sydney (consistently ranked among the world's top restaurants for two decades) before bringing his distinctive Japanese-French fusion to Dubai. The name 'Sagetsu' draws from astronomy to evoke the blending of moon and sand — a reflection of the menu's harmony of contrasts. Guests pass through a bamboo-and-wood entrance into a space defined by natural stone tables and an open kitchen, with panoramic views of Dubai's day-to-night skyline as backdrop. The evolving tasting menu — priced around AED 800 per person — features dishes such as king crab flan, wild bluefin tuna carpaccio, and wagyu niku dong, each showcasing Wakuda's signature balance of delicacy and depth.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
  • Dubai's only 2 Michelin star restaurant, awarded straight into the guide in 2024 — the highest accolade in the emirate's dining landscape.
  • Chef Tetsuya Wakuda is one of the most celebrated Japanese-born chefs in the world, with a career spanning Australia, Singapore, and Japan.
  • Set on the 24th floor of The Link, the world's longest cantilevered inhabited building, offering unmatched architectural drama alongside the dining experience.

Opened 14 February 2024. Approx. AED 800 per person for the tasting menu. Closed Tuesdays.
