About
Aotori occupies the same address as the former Kappo Andō, transformed into Copenhagen's most precise yakitori experience. Chef Daichi Suminoe, who came to Copenhagen from Osaka in 2022, grills exclusively with binchotan charcoal, coaxing extraordinary variation from chicken and vegetables through precise timing, cut selection, and temperature control. Each skewer is grilled and served individually — the yakitori kōsu in its purest form. The 8-seat counter is co-owned by Mads Battefeld of the Michelin-starred Sushi Anaba, ensuring institutional rigour. Reservations are essential and the counter runs Wednesday through Saturday.
