About
Opened in February 2026, TSUNARIÉ occupies a spare counter in De Pijp just steps from sibling restaurant Tewatashi. The concept is counter-style kappo — every dish finished and handed directly to the guest at its absolute peak. Chef Takatoku's sushi rice is deliberately loose and warmly seasoned, rooted in three decades of Edomae tradition, while a dedicated wagyu specialist handles Japanese A5 cuts with BMS scores of 11–12, many grilled over live charcoal. The 8- and 10-course menus (€90–€125) represent exceptional value for the ingredient quality. Expect toro nigiri, charcoal yakitori, and wagyu chateaubriand alongside seasonal Japanese vegetables.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
- 10-seat kappo counter — pure theatre as dishes are formed and passed directly to you
- A5 Wagyu imported from Japan with BMS 11–12, one of Amsterdam's finest sources
- Chef Takatoku: 30 years of Edomae sushi mastery in one intimate sitting
- Sister restaurant to Tewatashi — a rising star in Amsterdam's Japanese dining scene
Opened 17 February 2026. Phone not publicly listed; reservations via website.
