About
Yushin opened in 2022 at 77 rue Chauveau in Neuilly-sur-Seine, the elegant suburb directly adjacent to Paris's 16th and 17th arrondissements. Chef Shuhei Yamashita, who previously worked at two of Paris's most respected Japanese addresses — Kinugawa Vendôme and Ran — brings a calm, precise omakase ethos to an intimate space of approximately 20 seats. The chef prepares each dish at the counter in full view of diners, in the spirit of traditional Japanese counter dining. The menu ranges from a bento/sushi lunch (€55) and a full menu Yushin (€89) to an omakase at €130 (dinner). The restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide France. Diners consistently praise the authenticity, the quality of fish, and the genuine Japanese hospitality of the couple who runs the restaurant together.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
  • Former chef of Kinugawa Vendôme and Ran, two of Paris's most celebrated Japanese restaurants, Yamashita brings serious omakase pedigree to Neuilly.
  • The 20-seat counter setting means the chef prepares every dish in front of you — a transparency and intimacy rare even among Paris's Japanese counters.
  • Michelin Guide-listed, with omakase from €130 and lunch menus from €55, making it one of the best-value fine Japanese dining options in greater Paris.
  • Neuilly-sur-Seine location offers free and easy street parking — a practical advantage absent from all other Michelin Japanese addresses in central Paris.

Reservations recommended via website or phone (+33 9 88 52 88 24). Lunch menus from €55; dinner omakase from €89 to €130. Approximately 20 seats. Takeout also available.
