About
Gastronomia Yamamoto occupies a small room on Via Amedei a few steps from Missori and was conceived as the antithesis of the sushi-only stereotyping that shapes most Milanese Japanese dining. Proprietors Aya Yamamoto and her mother Shih Chy Pai Yamamoto established Italy's first true Japanese deli: guests can compose a bento box to take away or settle at the handful of interior tables for seasonal washoku dishes. Chef Daisuke Seki translates family recipes — deeply savory gyudon, lacquered unadon, curry rice — into a compact daily menu that changes with the Japanese culinary calendar. The degustazione menu is priced at €45; average à la carte runs around €25–30.
