About
Kanata Maeda, a Japanese entrepreneur and chef, opened Wagyu Kanata in Amsterdam's Zuidas business district to bring the true yakiniku tradition — refined table-side grilling with personalised service — to the Netherlands. Each table features a built-in grill with an individual exhaust hood, and guests select from a range of Wagyu cuts, seafood, and vegetables, grilled to their preference. The beef is sourced directly from Japan at A5 grade, the highest available. Alongside the meat experience, a curated selection of Japanese drinks and side dishes completes a full yakiniku evening rooted in Japanese hospitality. The Zuidas location serves the business community and locals in Amsterdam South.
