About
The Takumi story began in 1995 when Mr. Saeki and Mr. Okada worked together in Amsterdam, sharing a dream of opening a ramen restaurant in Europe. By 2007 that dream had become reality with the Takumi brand, which has since grown across multiple European cities while maintaining its Japanese-owned roots. The Amsterdam De Pijp branch serves rich chicken broth ramen prepared with a light-but-luscious technique, alongside tonkotsu, spicy miso, and black garlic variants that reviewers have compared favourably to train-station ramen shops in Tokyo. The menu also includes sashimi, gyoza, and takoyaki. Open daily from noon, it serves lunch crowds from the nearby Albert Cuyp Market and evening visitors seeking a warming bowl after the Heineken Experience.
