About
Founded in 1986, Naniwa Noodles & Soups is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf and a beloved institution in the Little Tokyo quarter. Osaka-born Masao Kobayashi operates it alongside his father, upholding a family tradition of honest, unpretentious Japanese noodle cooking. The menu centres on freshly made noodle soups — ramen, udon and seasonal variants — at prices that undercut most of the neighbourhood. The restaurant has no reservations and fills quickly at lunch, often with Japanese residents who regard it as a second home. Naniwa is the parent house of Naniwa Sushi & More on nearby Klosterstraße.
