About
Sushi Shibucho was built by founder Shige Kasahara Shibutani, who was regarded alongside Katsu Aoyagi as one of the two founding masters of OC's traditional sushi culture. After Shige's retirement, his son Naga took over the West 19th Street counter, maintaining the tradition of no fixed menu, daily-fresh fish, and pure counter dining. LA Weekly described it as 'a hidden sushi gem' for its craft and continuity.
