About
n/naka opened in 2011 under chef-owner Niki Nakayama, who trained in Japan and at Takao in Brentwood before developing her own California kaiseki idiom. Partner Carole Iida-Nakayama co-leads the kitchen. The restaurant earned its second Michelin star in 2019 and has held two stars since; a major renovation completed in 2024 refreshed the intimate dining room while preserving the seasonal omakase format.
