About
Matsuhisa Beverly Hills opened in 1987 as the first restaurant of Nobuyuki 'Nobu' Matsuhisa, who was born in Saitama, Japan in 1949 and trained in traditional Japanese restaurants before developing his Japanese-Peruvian fusion style while working in Peru. In November 2024, Matsuhisa received the Order of the Rising Sun from the Japanese Emperor. The restaurant remains the intimate original that preceded the global Nobu empire.
