About
Kagura opened in 2008 in Old Torrance under owner Sotaro Masuda; his son Kentaro, trained in Tokyo tonkatsu technique, runs the kitchen. Jonathan Gold (LA Times, 2016) wrote that Kagura served some of the best tonkatsu in Los Angeles. The menu features millefeuille tonkatsu (layered thin-cut pork), katsu curry, and karaage.
