About
Ramen Jun Red opened in the Fahrgasse to meet surging demand for the Japanese-owned Ramen Jun brand. While the Westend original is built around tonkotsu, the Red branch is the miso specialist of the family—offering hearty miso, spicy miso and seasonal variations. Both branches share the same Japanese ownership, handmade-noodle philosophy and Niigata heritage. The city-centre location makes it highly accessible for lunchtime visitors, and the larger dining room means slightly less waiting than at the Westend original.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
- Miso-speciality menu distinct from the tonkotsu-focused Westend branch
- Same Japanese-owned Ramen Jun heritage tracing back to Niigata, 1993
- Central Altstadt location, walkable from Konstablerwache and the Zeil
- Larger dining room with outdoor seating in summer
